Project Canaan Academy opened in 2014 on Project Canaan, the community built by Heart for Africa in Sidvokodvo, Manzini Region, Eswatini.
Where we come from
Heart for Africa is a faith-based organisation that has served the Kingdom of Eswatini for more than twenty years, caring for vulnerable children and their communities. Many of the children at Project Canaan grew up in its care, and the Academy was founded to give them, and the children of families around them, a quality Christ-centred education.
Who we serve
Today 370+ learners attend Project Canaan Academy. They include children raised in the care of Heart for Africa, the children of Project Canaan staff and families from neighbouring communities.
Where we are going
The Academy currently teaches from Grade 0 to Grade 8 and is expanding each year. Our first Grade 12 class is expected to graduate in 2030, completing a full school journey from the earliest years to the end of secondary school. We look forward to sharing more milestones as the school grows.
